Everblue Dungeons Guts Quest Requirements and Rewards
Last updated:
The Guts quest, The Black Swordsman's Legacy, rewards you with Dragon Slayer and the Berserker outfit. It combines two enemy-count objectives with three Cube boss victories.
Defeat 500 Goblins in Goblin Hideout, 100 Elves in Whisperwood Shrine, and Fire Cube, Ice Cube, and Lightning Cube once each in Boss battles. Progress carries across runs and does not reset. Complete all five objectives, then claim the Special quest to receive Dragon Slayer ×1 and Berserker ×1.

Open The Black Swordsman's Legacy
Open the Quest menu, choose Special, and select The Black Swordsman's Legacy. You can also approach the black-armored NPC in town and press E: View Guts Quest.
The overall progress meter counts five completed objectives, rather than individual kills. Completing the entire 500-Goblin requirement alone gives 1/5; the separate enemy and boss counters show what remains.
Complete the Five Objectives
| Target | Required defeats | Required location or mode |
|---|---|---|
| Goblins | 500 | Goblin Hideout |
| Elves | 100 | Whisperwood Shrine |
| Fire Cube | 1 | Boss battles |
| Ice Cube | 1 | Boss battles |
| Lightning Cube | 1 | Boss battles |
Complete every objective to unlock the rewards. The Elf objective names Whisperwood Shrine in the quest description.
Keep Progress Across Runs and Enter Cube Battles
Quest progress carries across runs and does not reset. You can accumulate the enemy defeats and finish the three Cube objectives over multiple runs.
Boss Mode requires character level 15. To enter a Cube battle:
- Go to the Start Game area and press E: Configure.
- Select Boss Mode.
- Choose Fire Cube, Ice Cube, or Lightning Cube.
- Select an available Act and choose Create.
Prepare your weapon element for the fight:
- Fire Cube Act I: Prefer Wind or Water, which have a 1.30× elemental multiplier. Its recommended power is 25,000. Follow the Fire Cube Act I guide for the ray, pillar, and minion phases.
- Ice Cube Act I: Prefer Flame or Light, which have a 1.30× elemental multiplier. Its recommended power is 54,000. Follow the Ice Cube guide for crossing beams, ice pillars, and pursuing minions.
Those power values are recommendations; the entry level is 15. For party-size and friends-only settings, see the dungeon party guide.
Claim and Use Dragon Slayer and Berserker
- Return to Special Quests when The Black Swordsman's Legacy reaches 5/5, then claim its reward. You receive Dragon Slayer ×1 and Berserker ×1.
- Open Bag → Weapon, select Dragon Slayer, and equip it.
- Open Bag → Equips, select Berserker, and choose Assign. When the weapon-selection prompt appears, click Dragon Slayer to assign the armor to it.
The Dragon Slayer + Berserker set provides +14% DPS and +7% Armor. At level 1, Berserker also provides +48 Max HP and 14% Flame Resist, giving the outfit a defensive benefit against flame attacks. For other equipment combinations, see the build guide.
Take Dragon Slayer to the Training Area and practice its Z, X, C, and V regular skills and T finisher against the training dummies. Their DPS, Total Damage, and Damage Time(s) displays help you compare your attack sequences.
